That’s Madrid for us; heaven. And that was partly because I didn’t have to think about home. I didn’t read the news, didn’t check my e-mail, had no idea what people posted on facebook or twitter and left my studies for what it was. It was just the two of us and a wonderful city to enjoy ourselves in. We spend our days walking around the streets, lying in parks, drinking beers and ordering too much amounts of racions and tapas.
So we didn’t really consult any new media to gather travel info, although we did text and e-mailed parents that we arrived safely.
On the other hand, we didn’t consult that much travel information at all. Sometimes we took a look at the streetplan if we were a bit lost. Other than that we might have looked in our ANWB Extra travelguide and some flyers once in a while, but most of the time we tried to enjoy the town and ourselves instead of books or computers.
When I got home this week I immediatly wanted to book another trip, so I went to the Ryanair website to see where else they will fly me to. Maybe Rome in september? Or Porto in August? Or should I wait and save up money to go on a longer trip to Asia? Is that Japan, Malaysia or even Australia calling me? Well this is where the web comes in handy too; dreaming away about trips I hope to make someday…

It was a great vacation!
